Position Title: Network Support Specialist II

Position Responsibilities: Support customer’s large-scale IT environment with SLRs/SLAs for high availability and uptime; maintain, plan, schedule, integrate, and troubleshoot large scale system networks—WANs, LANs, WLANs, VLANs, VPNs, VoIP, etc.—and monitor network health; configure and install network routers, switches, and appliances, including IMAC requests, in accordance with ITIL best practices; perform day-to-day operational tasks to maintain the network; work with operations and application owners for redundancy, resiliency, and fail-over; optimize bandwidth utilization and plan network capacity based on the customer’s evolving needs (e.g., new applications); collaborate and support Network Architect on design improvements, capacity planning and changes in business requirements; configure Palo Alto firewall rule sets and objects in an enterprise environment; Monitor incoming inquiries, troubleshoot suspected Cisco ISE caused issues, respond with resolution action, Monitor and manage operational health status of Cisco ISE server clusters; Provide solutions for network-related security vulnerabilities received from the Security Operations Center. Employee will work in various locations throughout the US that cannot be anticipated at this time. Employer is an IT consulting firm that assigns employees, often on short notice, to work at various project sites that cannot be anticipated significantly in advance of the assignment.
Position Requirements: B. Sc. (or equivalent through combination of education and experience as determined by a reputable credentials evaluation service)* in IT related field plus two (2) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience supporting multi-site networks, including at least one (1) year experience configuring Palo Alto firewall rules and objects.
*employer will accept 3 year Indian or Sri Lankan Bachelor’s degree in IT-related field.
